Does the un-charted TFR over Disneyland really make you mad? If it does, then do something about it! Communicating with YOUR elected representative may be the way. The current “Temporary” airspace restriction has been in effect for over six years.

The laws that we want to repeal or modify are:
Public Law 108-7 (February 20, 2003 117 Statute 421, Section 352
Public Law 108-199 (January 23, 2004, 118, Statute 343, Section 521

Just simply deleting the first paragraph of both of these laws may solve the problem. See “The Laws” page on this site for details. Another possibility is to contact the FAA Administrator to request that the FAA depict these TFRs on the aeronautical charts (TAC and Sectional)

Contact your elected representatives

You may contact your Congress member by e-mail, but a hand written letter may be more effective.

A petition with signatures from your local aviation group is a highly recommended way to get the attention of your elected representatives.

When writing, please remember:

Rule #1: Only write YOUR lawmaker
Rule #2: Make your letter topical and compelling
Rule #3: Avoid form letters
Tip: Use words like “Dear,” “Please” and “Thank you.”
Tip: Just be you.
