<p>Drudge goes <a href="http://drudgereport.com/" target="_self">apeshit</a> over a one-day movement in Obama&#39;s polling in one source. I guess it&#39;s a slow news day. Looking at <a href="http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx" target="_self">Gallup</a> &#8211; and <a href="http://polltracker.talkingpointsmemo.com/contests/us-approval-obama" target="_self">other</a> larger <a href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/01/06/jobapproval-obama_n_726319.html" target="_self">polls</a> of polls &#8211; what&#39;s striking is the stability of the polling. A year ago, Obama&#39;s ratings were essentially the same as they are now. As is the case in January 2010, when the polling settled down. His longest period of sustained net disapproval was in the summer of 2010. This year, he moves in waves of rather small size. Yes, he could still not be re-elected. But a one-day gyration in a single tracking poll?</p>
<p>But one always remains grateful to Drudge for campy headlines like this one:</p>
<p><tt><strong> <a href="http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-arvada-woman-says-martha-stewart-table-exploded-for-no-reason-20110620,0,5316997.story">Family says glass Martha Stewart table &#39;exploded&#39;...</a></strong></tt></p>
<p>Now that&#39;s some Drudge we can all love.</p>
