<p>Memo to the GOP: deal with this reality. Update from a reader, who comments on much of the millennial generation:</p>

<p>As a mother, what stood out most for me in this video was not the big &quot;reveal&quot; and the mother&#39;s palpable relief that he&#39;d finally told her what she already knew, so they wouldn&#39;t have this big &quot;secret&quot; between them, but rather the fact that, once he got it over with &#8211; phew! &#8211; he couldn&#39;t stop texting his friends and engage with his mother for one more minute than was absolutely necessary.&#0160; And his mother was so obviously used to his half-attention that she didn&#39;t even seem to notice.&#0160;</p>
