Memo to the GOP: deal with this reality. Update from a reader, who comments on much of the millennial generation:

As a mother, what stood out most for me in this video was not the big "reveal" and the mother's palpable relief that he'd finally told her what she already knew, so they wouldn't have this big "secret" between them, but rather the fact that, once he got it over with – phew! – he couldn't stop texting his friends and engage with his mother for one more minute than was absolutely necessary.  And his mother was so obviously used to his half-attention that she didn't even seem to notice.
