<blockquote><p>It turned out that, across genders, sexual orientations, and nationalities, everyone <a href="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg"><img data-attachment-id="191182" data-permalink="https://dish.andrewsullivan.com/?attachment_id=191182" data-orig-file="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=343&#038;h=179" data-orig-size="490,255" data-comments-opened="0" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;}" data-image-title="dish_heatmap" data-image-description="" data-medium-file="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=343&#038;h=179?w=300" data-large-file="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=343&#038;h=179?w=490" class=" wp-image-191182 alignright" alt="dish_heatmap" src="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=343&#038;h=179" width="343" height="179" srcset="https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=343&amp;h=179 343w, https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=150&amp;h=78 150w, https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg?w=300&amp;h=156 300w, https://sullydish.files.wordpress.com/2013/09/dish_heatmap.jpg 490w" sizes="(max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px" /></a> agreed that the genitals were top, followed by mouth/lips, with nipples, nape of neck and thighs also highly placed. The correlation coefficients for average ratings across pairs of groups were extremely high at 0.9 or above: <em>people agreed with each other.</em></p>
<p>Agreement on the most unerogenous zones was also strong: these included the elbow, shin, knee-caps, nose, and forehead. Makes sense.</p>
<p>The level of agreement counts against the popular belief that men and women have substantially different erogenous zones. Though women did score a few areas – namely the highly ranked non-genital ones – more highly out of 10 than men.</p></blockquote>
