Matthew specialises in criminal law, both trial and appellate matters.  He has also built up considerable expertise in the area of confiscation of criminal asset proceedings.

Matthew has been practising at the Independent Bar for over a decade and has appeared in many complex criminal trials.  He has also acted as Lead Counsel in appellate matters before the Court of Criminal Appeal in South Australia as well as before the High Court.  He has exceptional knowledge of the finer aspects of criminal law in this State, both through legislation and the common law.

Matthew is married with two children.
