Catanzaro, February 20 –  Italian Carabinieri police on Monday seized some 700,000 euros from the late Domenico Campisi  , a member of the  Mancuso clan  of the Calabrian ‘Ndrangheta mafia. reports Ansa

It was one of the first seizures from a dead mafia member under Italy’s new anti-mafia code introduced in September.

Domenico Campisi, 44, died from shotgun wounds last June after an ambush in the countryside near Vibo Valentia.

The assets included property, cars and bank accounts.
