Well, it finally came to pass, and technology reigned, bridging the distance between player and audience. I was naturally present in body and spirit, but my face with its register of emotions was plainly blocked by my piano rack.

About 12 hours before the event, I had posted a video revealing the seating arrangement. It amounted to a horseshoe formation, allowing the computer screen to be easily seen by all listeners.

At one point I flipped the web cam from my Steinway grand to the Baldwin, so I could render Bach Prelude (WTC) 1 with a different timbre.

This was a very attentive audience that fed warm vibrations back and forth.

With the piano doubling as an iMac host and refreshment table, there were no spills in sight.

It was a remarkable evening, indeed, needing an encore!
