Here’s a closer look at the ”false crosses” that I mention in the video. Don’t let them concern you. They are supposed to be there and are a natural result of the way you are carrying the two threads. You can happily ignore them.

Complementary-warp Pick-up gives instructions for weavers who know how to use their loom and who can already weave plain warp-faced bands. That is the basic level of experience that is required in order to be able to enjoy this e-book. Any loom that can produce two basic sheds and allow you to weave warp-faced fabric can be used. It is available at Taproot Video. You will be able to create bands that have patterns on both faces.

If your loom of choice is the standard inkle loom, you may prefer Andean Pebble Weave on Inkle Looms. The methods taught in this e-book have been designed specifically for this kind of loom. The e-book includes video instruction.
