Public Notice for Degree-granting Authority Revocation
Notice is hereby given pursuant to M.G.L. c. 69, § 30 and the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education’s Policy Establishing a Process for Public Comment on Articles of Organization and Foreign Certificates of Institutions of Higher Education that the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education will open a comment period relative to the revocation of the degree-granting authority of Becker College in the Commonwealth. The Board of Trustees voted to permanently close Becker College at the end of academic year 2020-2021. The College will provide academic, support and transitional services to students through August 31, 2021. Following an orderly transition, classes will not resume in Fall 2021.
Becker College is still committed to doing everything possible to ensure that its students (current & former), faculty, and staff have access to important information going forward. Becker College signed agreements with several area universities to provide program completion pathways to Becker students, often with enhanced transfer and other opportunities; those agreements are available on the Academic Pathways page.
