<p>Although most of this clip was filmed in Lisbon all the games and sports being played reflect more or less traditional aspects of Portuguese life &#8211; which is why I chose it for today&#8217;s post.</p>
<p>The band, called Deolinda, have a very unique sound, mixing old and new. If you know <em>fado</em>, it may sound something like it &#8211; but it isn&#8217;t <em>fado</em>! They&#8217;re one of the most successful Portuguese bands right now and this song comes from their album &#8220;Dois Selos e Um Carimbo&#8221;. Trivia tidbit of the day: The singer, Ana Bacalhau, and I went to the same university. It&#8217;s a small world!</p>
