<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?><oembed><version><![CDATA[1.0]]></version><provider_name><![CDATA[Get The Picture]]></provider_name><provider_url><![CDATA[https://blutarsky.wordpress.com]]></provider_url><author_name><![CDATA[Senator Blutarsky]]></author_name><author_url><![CDATA[https://blutarsky.wordpress.com/author/blutarsky/]]></author_url><title><![CDATA[Network programming ain&#8217;t cheap these&nbsp;days.]]></title><type><![CDATA[link]]></type><html><![CDATA[<p>To sweeten the pot to get Maryland to jump ship from the ACC, the Big Ten reportedly threw in <a href="http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/terps/bs-sp-terps-big-ten-travel-0315-20130314,0,1297978.story" target="_blank">a $20 million to $30 million travel subsidy</a>.  As the move in conferences is expected to cost the Terps about $3 million per year more in travel expenses, that amounts to a pretty lengthy sweetener.  And now that&#8217;s out there, you can expect any new possibilities for Jim Delany&#8217;s reality shows to have their hands out for something similar.</p>
<p>Of course, none of that helps Maryland&#8217;s fans out with their increased travel expenses.  But they&#8217;ll be able to tune in to the Big Ten Network.  It&#8217;s a whole new tradition!</p>
