<p>Gee, kinda makes all that whither BCS? hand wringing in the wake of the response to 2011&#8217;s Alabama-LSU&#8217;s rematch seem a little silly now.  Overreact much?</p>
<p>Of course, the cherry on top of this particular sundae is that if the four-game playoff were in effect <em>this</em> season, we&#8217;d have a major controversy over the fourth-best team (Michigan State!  Baylor!  Tastes great, Lou!  Less filling, Mark!).</p>
<p>Then again, that&#8217;s nothing that can&#8217;t be fixed with an eight-team playoff.  More awesome sauce, please.</p>
