<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>DAY 7</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">In Matthew 6,<strong> the disciples of Jesus ask Him to teach them to pray</strong> and He responds with what has become known as the Lord&#8217;s Prayer.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><strong>Task</strong></span>: Spend some minutes today <strong>focusing on this one line</strong> from the Lord&#8217;s prayer</p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><em><strong>Give us this day our daily bread,</strong></em></p>
<p style="text-align:left;"><strong>Think of the relationship implicit to this request:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Trust</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Expectation</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Need</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Faithfulness</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Provision</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Father</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Abundance</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Hope</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong>Thankfulness</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:center;"><strong style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.5em;">Enough</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Take some moments to think about your life. Concepts such as<strong> &#8216;greed&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;wastefulness&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;storing up&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;luxury&#8217;</strong> and<strong> &#8216;clutter&#8217;</strong> and<strong> &#8216;carbon footprint&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;busy&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;rush&#8217; </strong>and <strong>&#8216;the least of these&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;my neighbour&#8217;</strong> and <strong>&#8216;scurrying&#8217;.</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Give us this day our daily bread &#8211; take some moments on this line, often hidden in the middle of a prayer many of us might just say out of memory and habit, without taking time to ponder each line.</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Think of <strong>the food of bread. </strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Think of the bread that Jesus related to His life &#8211; <strong>the communion moment of &#8216;Take and eat this in remembrance of Me.&#8217;</strong></p>
<p style="text-align:left;">&#8216;<strong>I am the bread of life.</strong> Whoever eats of Me will not grow hungry.&#8217;</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">Think of <strong>the Bible as the Word of God</strong> <strong>as our daily bread</strong> &#8211; am i regularly being filled with this bread. Am i being filled with this bread at all?</p>
<p style="text-align:left;">As we observe a time of Lent, let us remember that line and meditate upon it this day: <strong>Give us today our daily bread.</strong></p>
