Many local historical societies, libraries and local history buffs are putting together collections that compile the town’s history through photos, postcards, old bills of sale, old ads from newspapers and whatever memorabilia people can garner from their homes.

Old documents, especially those on news print will continue to yellow and become brittle when left exposed to the environment. Keep your newspapers and tabloids in our paper safe sleeves and when possible use acid-free backings which neutralize acids and keep them safely stored in boxes or enclosures that will keep them from being exposed to light.
