With more than half of the season over, the Butler Grizzlies baseball team is hoping to get more wins to finish off the season. Currently, the Grizzlies have a 16-28 overall record and a 10-18 conference record.</p>
<p>On Sunday, April 2, the Grizzlies faced off against Pratt Community College who currently sit last in the Western Division with a 16-27 overall record. Butler came up with a win in the first game, 2-1. Pratt was able to win the second game, 8-1. On Thursday, April 6, the Grizzlies had one more game against Pratt and the Grizzlies were able to beat them 8-0. The Grizzlies were able to use the bullpen effectively and efficiently.</p>
<p>Next on the schedule for the Grizzlies was a four game away series at Seward County Community College. Seward is 16-28 overall and has a 9-15 conference record. The first two games at Seward were on Saturday, April 8. The Grizzlies lost both, with scores of 7-6 in both games. The next day the Grizzlies were able to get a win 12-1, but then dropped the second game, 15-14.</p>
<p>On Tuesday, April 11, the Grizzlies were back at home to play Pratt Community College once again.</p>
<p>The Grizzlies beat Pratt, 13-7. This win for the Grizzlies made the first conference series win for the Grizzlies in the 2017 season.</p>
<p>On, Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15, the Grizzlies had a four game series against Colby Community College. Colby is second in the West Division with an overall record of 25-16 and a 17-7 conference record. Butler was able to win the first game against Colby, 13-5, then lost the second, 4-2. The next day the Grizzlies again lost to Colby, 7-4, but they were able to win the last game of the series, 11-7.</p>
