<p>The Butler men and women cross country team hosted the Ollie Isom Invitational on Monday, Oct. 16.</p>
<p>The 13th-ranked men placed fourth overall with 70 points, Eluid Koech and Boniface Kiptoo individually placed in the top 10. In addition to Koech and Kiptoo, Emmanuel Biwott 13th (27:15), Timothy Kemboi 20th (27:50), and Hillary Kiptoo 25th (28:06). Other Grizzly runners were Bret Brock 34th (28:36), Terrance Mayes 69th (32:24) and Madison Edwards 70th (32:29).</p>
<p>The 10th-ranked women’s team finished their regular season with a second place finish placing five in the top 15 with 58 total team points.</p>
<p>Sophomore Jade Searles placed sixth (19:45) and freshman Spencer Jacobson in 10th place (20:01) led the team.</p>
<p>Following was Conangela Senior (20:03), Roshea Burrell (20:13) and Jeanna Baker (20:17) placed consecutively at 13-15.</p>
<p>Other results for the women’s team are Irine Jepkemboi 37th (21:28), Madison Bissell 41st (21:54), Sheila Samoei 44th (22:01), Jentai Valentine 53rd (22:34), Tara Mayes 67th (23:48) and Ebiagel Rono 73rd (24:16).</p>
<p>On Monday, Oct. 30, the team traveled to Garden City to compete in the Region VI Championships. The women’s team placed fourth overall with 127 points, Spencer Jacobson led the way in 19th with a time of 21:03. Other results included Searles 25th (21:21), Baker 26th (21:22), Senior 27th (21:23) and Burrell at 38th (21:45).</p>
<p>The men’s team placed seventh overall with 144 points, leading the way at 20th was Emmanuel Biwott with a time of 27:44. Other results include B Kiptoo 25th (28:03), Kiptoo 37th (28:37), Kemboi 49th (29:03), Santiago 55th (29:26) and Brock at 58th (29:27).</p>
