They&#8217;ll <a href="http://www.kansascity.com/105/story/1050299.html" target="_blank">cripple the utility of business jets</a> (which are not, no matter what some gasbag congressman tells you, a luxury), and <a href="http://www.newbernsj.com/news/security_44155___article.html/coastal_airport.html" target="_blank">needlessly hinder even small aircraft</a>. Note how this moron tries to spin it:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;There are just some folks who think their plane is like their car and they shouldn&#8217;t be bothered. The fact is, it is not our choice to determine whether these are all good people. It&#8217;s a security requirement. Like those on the commercial side who understand they have to go through security and have their bags checked whether it is carry-on or checked. We&#8217;re trying to make it as convenient as we possibly can.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Guess what, brainiac. It is like a private car, and should stay that way! Some folks are <a href="http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story.jsp?id=news/TSASUIT022309.xml&amp;headline=TSA%20BizAv%20Security%20To%20Face%20Legal%20Challenge&amp;channel=busav" target="_blank">fighting back</a>. And pilots are letting the jackbooted idiots know that they&#8217;ll <a href="http://www.aopa.org/advocacy/articles/2009/090219tsa.html?WT.mc_id=ebrief" target="_blank">just have to stop flying</a>.</p>
<p>All because of a non-existent threat.</p>
<p><strong>Update</strong>:</p>
<p>More push back <a href="http://www.aopa.org/advocacy/articles/2009/090224badges.html?WT.mc_id=ebrief" target="_blank">here</a> and <a href="http://www.ktuu.com/Global/story.asp?S=9901127" target="_blank">here</a>.</p>
