Another week of music and the numbers are in. This is a very special week on the Hot 100 as the top 5 songs are ALL female. Meghan Trainor holds tight at #1 for the 2nd week with ‘All About That Bass’. Taylor Swift comes in at #2 to with ‘Shake It Off’. I’m really obsessed with that track. In at #3 is Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’ followed by Iggy Azalea’s, ‘Black Widow’ featuring Rita Ora in at #4. Rounding off the top 5 is Jessie J’s. ‘Bang Bang’ featuring Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande.

The success for the ladies doesn’t stop there. As for the other half of the top 10 the Ariana Grande comes in at #7 with ‘Break Free’ and in at #10 is Charlie XCX’s, ‘Boom Clap’. 7/10 songs on the Hot 100 is an amazing feat.
As for the Billboard 200, Jhene Aiko is the only lady in the Top 10 with her album, Souled Out. The album might not have gained the #1 spot on the Billboard 200, it did nab the #1 spot on both R&B/Hip-Hop and R&B albums charts. In at the number one spot is Gospel rapper, Lecrae with Anomaly.
