<p><a href="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg"><img loading="lazy" data-attachment-id="6207" data-permalink="https://cherylbecker.wordpress.com/2014/12/09/brought-to-you-by-the-letter-c/c/" data-orig-file="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg" data-orig-size="300,300" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="c" data-image-description="" data-image-caption="" data-medium-file="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg?w=300" data-large-file="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg?w=300" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6207" src="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg?w=300&#038;h=300" alt="c" width="300" height="300" srcset="https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg 300w, https://cherylbecker.files.wordpress.com/2014/12/c.jpg?w=150&amp;h=150 150w" sizes="(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px" /></a></p>
<p>It stands for <strong>Conflict</strong>.   There&#8217;s always conflict, of course, but I feel like I&#8217;m aware of a great deal of conflict lately.  Perhaps because of the November elections, which made me feel I live in a pretty <a title="divided US" href="http://www.ammoland.com/2014/12/united-but-divided/#axzz3L99BUyWI" target="_blank">divided</a> country.  Perhaps because of the ongoing events in <a title="ferguson" href="http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/08/14/michael-brown-ferguson-missouri-timeline/14051827/" target="_blank">Ferguson, Missouri</a> (and similar events elsewhere).  Or maybe because I&#8217;m currently living in a neighborhood experiencing some conflict, on a much smaller scale.</p>
<p>At any rate, I don&#8217;t like conflict.  And I personally believe that there are some things that contribute to reducing and even eliminating conflict.  They also start with <strong>C</strong>:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>C</strong>ommunication</li>
<li><strong>C</strong>onsensus</li>
<li><strong>C</strong>ompromise</li>
</ul>
<p>Do I need to expand on this?  I don&#8217;t think so—I think it is very clear.  Am I oversimplifying?  Perhaps.  But I don&#8217;t think so, at least not much.</p>
