Would that it weren&#8217;t so, but. . . there you are. So, what do you do when you make that mistake at work, and get &#8220;called on the carpet,&#8221; so to speak? <!--more--></p>
<p>You own it. You make it right. You forgive yourself (this one is important! Don&#8217;t keep beating yourself up over it.) And you move on. That probably includes making sure that you won&#8217;t make that same mistake again. But, I&#8217;m sorry to have to tell you, you&#8217;ll probably make a different one. Don&#8217;t despair, because, you know, you&#8217;re only human (see above).</p>
