Libraries are here to do so many things. One of them, as I’ve told you before, is to help, not only those looking for information, but those in need. Today I share yet another example: How Denver Public Library Balances Books and Being a Homeless Shelter. From the story:

“[This] is a role that we have not asked to play, but are playing.”

“When I started, this was the third city to get a social worker in the library. And now they are dozens around the country.”

The library is a safe place.

The library is here to connect people to the resources they need.

Yes, we’re here to help. Libraries are so much more than books. Get inside one today.
