While this was fun, it was not really feasible and quickly ran into limitations in use.</span></p>
<p>In CloudForms 4.6 deploying CloudForms on top of OpenShift is fully supported and we will post more information about this soon.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">The real solution is pulling this example into the Red Hat Demo Central collection and put it on a Cloud solution based on open technologies. This gives you the chance to go from your laptop, to Cloud installation and onwards to a Cloud Operations solution in just minutes.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Let&#8217;s take a look at how this works, shall we?</span></p>

Cloud Operations in minutes?</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">So now that you have this great management tool, what next to get it installed in just minutes?</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">The basis is to first get your own private Cloud installed on your laptop based on OpenShift Container Platform, the latest version. This is achieved with the project </span><a href="https://github.com/redhatdemocentral/ocp-install-demo"><span style="font-weight:400;">ocp-install-demo</span></a><span style="font-weight:400;">. Just follow the instructions and in just a few minutes you will be logged into your own private Cloud.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">The next step is to get the </span><a href="https://github.com/redhatdemocentral/rhcs-cloudforms-demo"><span style="font-weight:400;">rhcs-cloudforms-demo</span></a><span style="font-weight:400;"> in the Red Hat Demo Central and install CloudForms in a few more minutes.</span></p>
<p><img data-attachment-id="2388" data-permalink="https://cloudformsblog.redhat.com/2018/04/12/zero-to-cloud-operations-with-cloudforms/cf-pods/" data-orig-file="https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png" data-orig-size="1600,459" data-comments-opened="1" data-image-meta="{&quot;aperture&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;credit&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;camera&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;caption&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;created_timestamp&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;copyright&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;focal_length&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;iso&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;shutter_speed&quot;:&quot;0&quot;,&quot;title&quot;:&quot;&quot;,&quot;orientation&quot;:&quot;0&quot;}" data-image-title="cf-pods" data-image-description="" data-medium-file="https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=300" data-large-file="https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=1024" class="alignnone size-large wp-image-2388" src="https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=1024" alt="" srcset="https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=1024 1024w, https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=150 150w, https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=300 300w, https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png?w=768 768w, https://cloudformsredhat.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/cf-pods.png 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>Once all containers are deployed then CloudForms is ready to manage the Cloud operations.</p>
<h3><a href="https://github.com/redhatdemocentral/rhcs-cloudforms-demo"><b>Red Hat CloudForms Install Demo</b></a></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Installation is easy as following the following steps. First installing the OpenShift Container Platform and then pushing a container version of CloudForms into the Cloud.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<ol>
<li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">First ensure you have an OpenShift container based installation, such as one of the following installed first:</span></li>

<p>Login to CloudForms management console.</p>
<ol>
<li style="font-weight:400;"><span style="font-weight:400;">Follow displayed instructions to log in to your brand new Red Hat CloudForms!</span></li>
</ol>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Be sure to wait for a bit so that the containers can populate and deploy properly. </span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">CloudForms uses a memcache and postgresql container image that must be available for data persistence.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">You can find the service route (the URL to access CloudForms management console) by looking up the application routes in the provide menu in OpenShift. </span></p>

<p>CloudForms is the Cloud Suite operations and management layer of choice.</p>
<p><span style="font-weight:400;">Hope you enjoy this container install with CloudForms and can experience the management features on your very own local machine.</span></p>
