Watch out, Avengers. Move over, Justice League. Make way for the latest jaw-dropping alliance of awesomeness. Meet the founding members of this real-life collection of dazzlement: Dull, Boring, and Bland.

Dull, a tiny Scottish Highlands hamlet in Perth and Kinross, has a population of around 84. Since 2012 it has enjoyed a sister city relationship with Boring, Oregon, USA, a community of about 7,800 people.

Desiring to add to their yawn-inducing spectacular team, in 2013 the two communities teamed up with Bland Shire in New South Wales, Australia. With a population of less than 6,000, Bland is the geographic juggernaut of the trio, covering an area in excess of 8,500 square kilometers.

The three municipalities call themselves the League of Extraordinary Communities. The alliance is designed to draw attention to their respective homes and promote their public image.

Dennis Melloy, provost of the Perth and Kinross region that’s home to Dull, said the alliance could expand. He says “we’ve found Ordinary and Dreary, both in America, and I think they could soon be part of it all.”
