On September 1, 2013 US-president Obama planned to attack Syria, President Hollande of France was ready attack as well – the plan failed because of mounting opposition in the US – Since the conflict in Syria began in early 2011, the USA has granted asylum to fewer than 100 Syrian refugees. In 2013, when more than 1 million left Syria as the USA pushed for a military invasion, only 33 Syrian refugees were granted asylum in the United States.
