Fortschritte
Es werden viele Schritte unternommen, was die Frage von Krieg oder Frieden angeht und manche bringen uns nach vorne, andere wiederum nicht. In diesem Bereich der Webseite werden wir eine Zeitschiene der jüngsten positiven Entwicklungen präsentieren. Einige mögliche Fortschritte könnten sein – Die Raketenangriffe gegen Syrien im Jahr 2013, die nicht stattfanden, leichte Kürzungen in einigen Militärhaushalten, Verbesserungen ablesbar in öffentlichen Meinungsumfragen, Einschränkungen bei den Drohnenangriffen, zumindest kurzzeitig sichtbare Alternativen der Diplomatie zwischen den USA und dem Iran, eine Kommission in Connecticut für den Übergang zum einem Konzept friedlicher Industrie, Frieden als eine Möglichkeit in Kolumbien, usw.
Abrüstung
Ein Schritt auf dem Weg zur Beendigung des Krieges ist die Abrüstung, einschließlich der Abschaffung von Atomwaffen und anderer besonderer Arten von Waffen, der Abschaffung von offensiven (nicht defensiven) Waffensystemen und schließlich der Verringerung und Beseitigung aller Kriegswaffen. In diesem Bereich der Webseite werden wir einige spezifische Kampagnen zu diesem Themenkomplex aufzeigen.
Aktuelle Kriege und Besatzung beenden
Ein Teil der Bewegung um Kriege zu beenden, ist insbesondere darauf ausgerichtet, zu verhindern dass Kriege beginnen, sich ausbreiten und eskalieren. Dies beinhaltet Fälle von akuter und weniger intensiver Besatzung durch ausländische Kräfte abzubauen. In diesem Bereich der Webseite werden wir einige spezifische Kampagnen zu diesem Themenkomplex präsentieren.
Alternativen zum Krieg
Teil der Bemühungen den Krieg zu beenden ist es, überlegene Methoden zur Vermeidung und Lösung von Konflikten zu entwickeln. Dazu gehört der Aufbau gewaltfreier Friedensteams und die Entwicklung und Umsetzung des Völkerrechts und die Schaffung vonwirklich demokratischen und rechenschaftsfähigen internationalen Gremien, die nicht selbst Krieg als Mittel wählen. In diesem Bereich der Webseite werden wir einige spezifische Kampagnen präsentieren, die sich in dieser Richtung betätigen.
