Basically what the title says, this thread is to debunk any popular misconceptions/rumors regarding anything Crash Bandicoot. I’ll start by getting some popular well-known ones out of the way:

• Crash Bandicoot was never owned by Naughty Dog or Sony Computer Entertainment.
• Crash Bandicoot did not release on August 31st, 1996 but rather September 9th, 1996.
• Crash was never sold to any companies but rather merged into different publishers through acquisitions.
