Looks like there’s a new version rolling out on Android via the Google Play Store for Canada and Malaysia. Here’s what the patch notes say:

These notes will be rolled out in stages – at first, only half of our players are likely to have these. If you’re not part of the group at first, please be patient – everyone will get these, soon!

Changes

• New Aku Aku rules, and a Dizzy mode
  • Before, the Aku Aku mask would only save you from crates and selected enemies. Now, we are pleased to say that Aku Aku will also protect you from stone obstacles and a majority of Boss attacks.
  • If you have an Aku Aku mask, hitting any of these obstacles will still consume it. Also, hitting these obstacles without a mask will now make you dizzy for a few seconds. Yes, we added a Dizzy Mode! But be careful: If you hit another obstacle while you’re dizzy, you’ll die. So if you see stars above Crash and Coco, watch out!
• Easier Turtle Woods levels
• Extended smash radius on your spin move
• Adjusted the tutorial

Bug Fixes

• The Frosty Neo Cortex crash has been fixed
• Crash could sometimes be invincible against crate, and we fixed that, too
• If there’s stuff in the crates, you’ll now get the loot no matter how you smashed the crate
