Back when I was a kid, my brother and I collected Pokemon and Yugioh cards. We would sometimes fight over who owned which cards so we came to an agreement that we both owned all of the cards. Fast forward a bit, and when I was moving out of my parent’s house, we had to figure out who really owned the cards. I, of course, wanted them all, but after a bit of reasonable and adult discussion, we decided that I should take the Pokemon cards and my brother would keep the Yugioh cards. At the time, I thought I was getting the raw end of the deal, but conceded because my brother is younger than me and therefor it was more appropriate for him to have trading cards for kids. It’s been a few years now, and I’m thinking that I actually got the better half. I still play Pokemon and I still watch the anime every so often, but I don’t play Yugioh at all anymore. Frankly, I think Pokemon will have a more lasting impression on the future than Yugioh. That being said, Yugioh Abridged will have a much bigger impact on the Youtube community than anything Pokemon ever released on their channel.
