This is meant to be stitched on black aida, but you can stitch it on white if that’s all you have. Black aida can sometimes be a little difficult to find in stores, so you shouldn’t be afraid to dye or paint your white aida any color you want. All you need is normal acrylic paint, a sponge brush, and some textile medium (sometimes called fabric painting medium). It’s super easy. There’s a tutorial here if you’re interested.
