Feel like Finn and Jake exemplify competing sides of my personality. Finn seems to constantly have this drive to prove himself, which I can identify with, but his talents mostly have to do with his physical abilities or overcoming something scary. Those things just don’t present themselves much in my life, but they’re still there. He gets scared, but he doesn’t often doubt his own bravery. Of course, he’s more active than I am, but I like his outlook on life and his ability to see good in people.

I also identify with Jake though. He’s lazy, yeah, but comfortable being himself and doing his own thing. He has his own interests, but isn’t concerned with being the best most of the time. Out of all of the main characters, he’s the one I think would be the most likely to try cross stitching. He’d probably not like it, but I could see him pushing through to finish then being super proud of what he made even if it wasn’t perfect because sucking at something is the first step towards being sort of good at something.
