Everyone knows that Charizard’s shiny is an awesome black color with red wings, the edge lord of shinies, but that wasn’t always the case. Originally, shiny Charizard was a desaturated lavender color with teal wings. Of course the change to black is for the better, but did you know that Game Freak revived the old lavender color for Mega Charizard Y’s shiny form? That’s why it looks so different.
