So I got to play Dinosaur Island the other day. It’s pretty good, but not my favorite board game. I love the graphic design elements and it’s fun to collect the little plastic dinosaurs. It really hits my nostalgia. The thing is that other than a few cards, there’s no reason to pay attention to what the other players are doing. Yeah you can take something that another player wants but there’s no way of knowing what would screw them over since most of the time they can get something else just as useful. I think the “plot twits” were the best. They give everyone a power up so that each time you play it’s a little different. As a whole, I liked the game, but I don’t think I would buy it.
