You know, I always empathized more with the chaser in cartoons like this. Maybe it’s because I like cats, but I liked Sylvester and Tom more than Tweety and Jerry even as a kid. Maybe it was because they were taking an active role in the story that made them stand out to me more. I hate reactive protagonists, but that’s a subject for another day.
