When I was a kid, I was sent to Space Camp and Aviation Challenge. As part of the flight program, I was supposed to pick a call sign. I was having a tough time deciding, so the other kids asked me what kinds of things I liked and I told them I like video games. One of the suggestions was Princess Peach, but I’m not really the princess type, so I chose to be called Peaches. Naturally, my plane in the flight simulator was The Peach Basket. I didn’t tell them that the real reason I chose Peaches was because of that one rat from The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents. I actually used the name again as my camp name years later when I worked as a camp counselor.
