I used to watch the dubbed version of Detective Conan as a kid. It was just the right amount of scary for me. Yeah there were dead bodies but there wasn’t a lot of visceral horror and gore. It was always about solving the case first and foremost. I do remember an episode that stuck in my head because a guy got cut in half, but it turned out he faked his death, so I guess that’s okay. It was still pretty scary.
