Samurai Champloo is certainly something else. The art style is consistently beautiful and I love all the misfit characters. There’s a nice balance of action and quiet moments. There does seem to be a bit of an over reliance on Fuu for these quieter moments, but it doesn’t hurt my enjoyment of the series. I have only seen the first few episodes, so it might change later. I’m definitely going to watch the whole thing. It’s good stuff.
