One day my patron Nat was walking around with their Ratatta and stumbled upon a fabled gold bottle cap. Now Nat’s Ratatta is in the top percentage of Ratatta and wrecks house in little cup tournaments. It’s true!

I’m hesitant about Sword and Shield. I’m liking the new pokemon and the region looks nice, but I’m worried about Game Freak cutting content. They removed my favorite feature, Wonder Trade, from Let’s Go, and now I might not be able to even transfer my favorite pokemon from Bank into Sword and Shield. Yeah I understand not having all pokemon appear in the wild, but part of the appeal of trading is getting rare pokemon from other regions. I love being able to breed a non native pokemon and trade it out over GTS to get harder to catch pokemon to fill out my pokedex. Being able to catch um all is a big part of the post game for me and keeps me playing longer. Without the national dex, Pokemon just won’t be the same.

Honestly, I skipped out on Pikachu and Eevee since it was yet another gen 1 remake, but I don’t want to miss out on this new region. I’m really torn between buying a game I might not enjoy, and voting with my money and not encourage this sort of thing. This may be a good time for me to buy used.
