I went to the gun show today. We had out mostly helmets, bayonets, and medals. The highlight of the table was surprisingly a police sheriff’s hat. Maybe people just liked police stuff, but I’m thinking it was popular because it just to happened to look almost exactly like a drill sergeant’s hat. We had folks taking pictures and both kids and adults trying it on. It was good fun. We’ll probably sell it tomorrow.

There’s a strange thing I’ve noticed as a purveyor of fine helmets. If you set out enough helmets on a table, about %20 of people will be compelled to tap on them. I assume this was out of a combination of a mundane check for what material it’s made of and a visceral need to play the bongos.
