I went for a drive to see the fall leaves in the canyon this weekend. Yeah, I complain about my city a lot, but there really are some stunning views once you get into the mountains. It got me thinking about how, in the future, driving might become a hobby closer to sky diving or snorkeling. With self driving cars and fewer people in big cities even getting a drivers license, knowing how to drive could become a rare thing. People will go to places and rent a car like you would an ATV, but instead of offroading on some dunes, you’re hugging the curves in a canyon or speeding down the Pacific Coast Highway with the training wheels off.
