I had to look what it was because as I said I’ve never know anyone who had it before moving to Belgium.

Bronchitis typically occurs after you had a cold. What happens is your bronchial tube (the things that takes oxygen in your lungs) because infected and swell up. Then you end up with a nasty cough and a lot of mucus.

The force of the cough can rupture blood vessels, which is why I was coughing up blood.

So Hurry! I am not dying.

Unless it gets worse or continues, in which I will need to get a chest x-ray as it could be pneumonia. Or unlikely TB.  There is a slim chance for all of that because my lungs sound find and I don’t have a fever. Thus the bronchitis I have is classified as acute and mild!

So Hurry! My immune system is awesome! Except for getting it in the first place.

My doctor gave me some meds which are gigantic pills that I need to take 3 times perday and should help me get over it faster. I should be back to working order by next week.

[I really can’t wait because my throat hurts and speaking for long periods of time doesn’t work without pain and a coughing fit!]
