<p><strong> Training for strategic community-led creative resistance</strong></p>
<p>Join us for a training camp on how to take direct action against environmental degradation and climate chaos. Led by a team of Greenpeace trainers and local organizers, the camp will offer both a basic and advanced training on non-violent direct action, campaign strategy, and creative activism. The three-day activist training will include direct action planning, media, campaigning, non-violence and legal considerations, tools and tactics for creative and effective direct action anti-oppression, local struggles, and more.</p>
<p>The camp is an opportunity to get together with like-minded community members who want to tackle environmental and social injustice together, and build a connected and powerful movement for climate justice in our region.</p>
<p>The camp will take place at the Deanery Project, a non-profit co-op focused on the environment, community, natural building and the arts.</p>
<p>When: 4pm, Friday October 17th to 6pm, Sunday, October 19th</p>
<p>Where: The Deanery Project, 37 Deanery Road, Ship Harbour, Nova Scotia (60km outside Halifax). Transportation from Halifax will be provided.</p>
<p>How much: $50 per person, or pay what you can. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.</p>

<p>Accommodation: There are limited indoor shared accommodations at the Deanery. Participants are encouraged to bring tents and sleeping bags, and dress for the weather. If you don’t have a sleeping bag please borrow one, or let us know if you need any bedding.</p>
<p>Food: Vegan/Vegetarian meals will be provided.</p>
