Buddhism with a big “B”, what Slavoy Zizek, Killing the Buddha and others have called “corporate Buddhism.” I mean Buddhism as a Big Business. It’s Buddhism in the Big Business of selling you happiness, liberation, contentment, satisfaction, inner peace, joy, but most of all career success, wealth and social esteem. It was on it’s way on the heels of all the magazines, retreat centres, websites, mindfulness research, leadership institutes and 2.0 conferences. With this particular series, we have  arrived at a truly American Buddhism. And here it is, brought to you by Tricycle, in all it’s bourgeoisie neoliberal glory:
