Unlike previous albums, Travis Scott collaborated with artists from his Cactus Jack label to produce JACKBOYS.

The album was unexpectedly dropped on Dec. 27 and caught the attention of fans worldwide. Along with the release of the album, Scott released a short film and star-studded videos for the songs “GANG GANG” and “GATTI”.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

At just seven songs, JACKBOYS is full of upbeat tracks that are great for parties. The album contains the likes of Sheck Wes, Young Thug, Pop Smoke and Migos members Quavo and Offset.

It also includes a remix of “Highest in the Room” with Spanish singer Rosalía, who adds her own flavor to the already-popular hit.

Almost all of the songs have similar trap beats and follow a similar trend of not being able to trust anyone and only being able to rely on friends. Other lyrics include suggestive themes such as guns, violence and drugs. In “GANG GANG”, Scott sings “you know my gang is the flyest.”

The overall message from JACKBOYS is not to underestimate what people can do because they will take action when it is least expected. With Travis Scott’s expertise in curating a perfect album, he is nothing short of being one of the best emcees in the game.
