With COVID-19 cases continuing to rise, let’s get right into the numbers.

As of yesterday, New Jersey health officials reported 4,661 new cases of the coronavirus and another 90 deaths, the most confirmed COVID-19 fatalities reported in a single day since June.

As of this morning, there have been at least 343,739 cases in NJ and 35,577 cases in Bergen County. 

Local governments are also struggling financially, even with federal relief funds. 

Bergen County announced plans to approve an emergency $28 million borrowing plan, a proposal the “county says is integral to overcoming a loss of revenue related to the coronavirus pandemic.” 

The pandemic still rages on, and with Christmas still left to come and unite more families, risks are their worries.
