In today’s edition, we will talk about Rutgers not requiring students to get the vaccine for next fall and the latest COVID-19 numbers.
A video sent to Rutgers students and faculty assured viewers that it is safe to get vaccinated. However, the school will not mandate students getting the vaccine.
The Rutgers biomedical and health sciences senior vice chancellor Vicente Gracias hopes that Rutgers students “will decide to get the shots on their own,” according to nj.com.
Gracias also believes that everyone has the power to educate themselves and their community, NJ.com continued.
This spring, the school will continue to teach a majority of its courses virtually and will have fewer than 20% of its on-campus housing occupied, according to nj.com.
COVID-19 Numbers
As of this morning, there are 4,200 new COVID-19 cases in NJ and 357 of those are in Bergen County.
