In today’s update, we will talk about restrictions being loosened as New Jersey increases capacity for indoor recreational businesses.
The state increased its indoor capacity limit from 25% to 35% on Friday morning at 8 am, ABC News reports.
This new order comes ahead of the Super Bowl weekend, and eliminates a previous order to close all businesses by 10 p.m, according to NJ.com.
A recent decline in positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalization have also played a role in this decision, according to 6abc.com
Gov. Phil Murphy also announced an indoor gathering limit for religious ceremonies and services, wedding ceremonies, political activities and memorial services will also be increased to 35% with 150 people maximum, according to nj.com.
COVID-19 Numbers
As of this morning, there was an increase of 4,228 positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey, 505 of those cases were in Bergen County.
