The Sunday daily news segment might as well just be your warning for the next winter storm. This year’s Valentine’s Day is expected to get a little frosty. 

Now, this week there isn’t going to be a huge snow storm. However, there is going to be a mix between snow, freezing rain and regular rain which means accumulations of ice, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters are telling people to stay off the roads once the frozen mix starts because there will be lots of icy spots to cause accidents, NJ.com reports.

While there isn’t going to be a large accumulation, even a small amount of freezing rain on the roads can make for hazardous driving conditions, NJ.com continues.

To stay safe, maybe you should move those Valentine’s day plans to your living room.

COVID-19 Numbers

The following is the latest COVID-19 cases for this morning. 

There were 3,757 new positive COVID-19 cases in New Jersey with 413 new cases in Bergen County.
