<![CDATA[But God sees it all. And he looks on our heart. #Blog]]>I have said many times that I love the Psalms. I’m a big fan of David’s. We have a lot in common. Not that I’m a giant slayer (not in the physical sense anyway), but I have made my own share of mistakes and been granted mercy on many occasions…for which I am tremendously grateful.

This is one of my favorite verses from David after he had once again been in a bad spot:

Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

I tell my girls all the time, specially Heidi (6yo) “Don’t worry about what others are doing around you. You are only responsible for your own words and your own actions.” It’s a hard lesson to comprehend as a child…and really not much easier as an adult when you feel like someone is really getting away with it; living the dream without really “earning” it. Watching people “cheat” their way to the top is never fun.

But God sees it all. And he looks on our heart.

So today, I ask God to give me a clean heart…a clean slate to start over once again. And let’s do this. Great things are ahead for each of us, but we can’t move forward until we clean out the clutter!
