<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;"><span style="font-size:16px;color:rgb(45,45,45);font-family:OpenSans, sans-serif;">&nbsp;</span><span style="background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);">There is an old expression that states, “Don’t be so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good.” Clever and catchy cliché, isn’t it? In fact, just this past week, as I was preparing to put on a movie with my girls, I heard a conversation between 2 Preachers Kids from a reality TV shows where one told the other that she has no earthly good because she is too committed to God and she shouldn&#8217;t declined an invite for a party over serving at a ministry her church. Hahah! This is so me tho!😊&nbsp;</span></p>
<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;"><span style="background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);">The only problem is that these words are unbiblical. The Bible says, “Set your mind on things above, not on the things that are on earth” (<a class="NETBibleTagged" style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0;padding:0;border:0;font-style:inherit;font-variant:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;display:inline !important;">Col 3:2</a>). Contrary to popular opinion, being heavenly minded always inspires us to be&nbsp;<i style="box-sizing:border-box;margin:0;padding:0;border:0;font-variant:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;">more</i>&nbsp;earthly good. Thus, our goal as Christians must be to set our minds on things above and faithfully serve the Lord.</span></p>
<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;"><span style="background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);">Paul thoughts us that&nbsp;<i style="font-variant:inherit;box-sizing:border-box;margin:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;">God’s approval is better than man’s applause</i>. In&nbsp;‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ &#8211;&nbsp;</span>&#8220;Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise.&#8221;&nbsp;</p>
<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;"><span style="background-color:rgba(255,255,255,0);">Paul also instructed us how to regard ourselves and others,&nbsp;do not judge God’s servants in&nbsp;‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4‬:‭5 &#8211;&nbsp;</span>&#8220;Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.&#8221;</p>
<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;"><span>Prayer:</span></p>
<p class="bodytext" style="color:rgba(0,0,0,0.701961);font-family:UICTFontTextStyleBody;font-size:17px;line-height:normal;text-decoration:-webkit-letterpress;box-sizing:border-box;margin-right:0;margin-bottom:20px;margin-left:0;padding:0;border:0;vertical-align:baseline;">Dear Lord, Help me to continue to seek your approval, trust in you with all my heart and acknowledge you in everything that I do today. Create in me a clean heart. Shine your light bright into my heart. Show me your face oh God. Reveal yourself to me as I faithfully seek to please you in all that I today. In Jesus&#8217; Name!&nbsp;</p>
