</p>
<p>In a recent press release, translated by <a target="_blank" href="http://ift.tt/1WZFzRA">Gematsu</a>, the company said 500,000 units have shipped in Japan and Asia, 1.5 million in North America, and 1 million in Europe.
</p>
<p>In addition, this means shipments of the series as a whole have surpassed 13 million.
</p>
<p>Dark Souls III launched worldwide last month, and quickly became <a target="_blank" href="http://ift.tt/1Ss2vt4">Bandai Namco America&#8217;s fastest-selling game</a> in the company&#8217;s history. Apparently though, <a target="_blank" href="http://ift.tt/1WplKVp">one in 10 players on PC haven&#8217;t reached Dark Souls III&#8217;s first bonfire</a>.
